I’m Nancy, a Certified Nutrition Health Coach and Integrative Medicine Expert. My health and wellness journey began long before I embraced my current role; it’s a story rooted in my personal experiences with hormonal imbalances and the chronic stress that accompanied my transition into womanhood.

Growing up in Montréal, Québec, Canada in the 90s, I trusted the advice of the time, which meant taking hormonal birth control and antibiotics for years to manage acne/cramps, opting for fat-free sugar-free foods while developing disordered and food morality habits and loading up on seed oils, caffeine and alcohol. While I always appeared healthy and accomplished, my body and mind were in constant conflict. 

I quickly learned that one can eat kale every day and still feel horrible inside. In my 20s, I faced two emergency surgeries to remove painful ovarian cysts, an experience that marked the beginning of my quest for honest women’s health and root cause medicine. It wasn’t until I decided to become a "mama" that I truly understood the importance of holistic wellness and preventative care. For years, I struggled with ovulation, miscarriage, fertility treatments and the emotional toll of hormonal therapies (IUI, IVF) that left me feeling depressed, anxious, ashamed and totally disconnected from my body. Although my first daughter, Keira (6), was born through IVF, I knew my health was a mess. I realized I needed to make significant changes to achieve a healthy body and mind so I can continue caring for her in the way she truly deserves. Realizing the need for an alternative solution, I went back to my roots. I began assessing what I was consuming (in my gut and in my mind), the toxic load in my environment and my purpose in life. My transformation culminated in the birth of my second daughter, April (3), who was conceived naturally during a time when my health and wellness was at its peak—oddly, during the COVID-19 lockdown. With reduced work hours due to job cuts, I found the space to prioritize me—exercising daily, following my flow cycle, cooking nutritious meals and reconnecting with family. I phased out toxic foods, products, habits and people. I discovered the power of simply taking time to breathe. This journey led me to leave my 15-year career in corporate marketing and fully commit to an education in Integrative Nutrition, juggling an intensive full-time accredited program while being a mom and LOVING every minute of the hustle. I’ve obtained my Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching Certification from IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) and have completed accredited certifications in hormone health, gut health while currently working toward my NBHWC (National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching) certification. My personal journey, academic studies and the healing transformations of my clients ("Thrive Tribe") inspire me to continually innovate in this field. I am truly grateful to be here in this moment, sharing this journey with you.

  • How is consulting you different from seeing a nutritionist?
    Consulting with me as a Certified Nutrition Health Coach differs from seeing a nutritionist in several key ways. While nutritionists typically focus on providing specific dietary advice and meal plans based on nutritional science, I take a more holistic approach, emphasizing the connection between nutrition, lifestyle and overall wellness, with an emphasis on healing from a cellular level (gut and hormonal health). We don’t meet in a clinical setting, where you might feel rushed or hesitant to share openly. Instead, our sessions are designed to create a relaxed and comfortable space where you can feel heard and supported. My coaching involves understanding your unique health history, goals, and challenges, allowing us to develop a personalized plan that addresses not only your dietary needs but also your emotional and lifestyle factors (including fitness/movement as add-on option). I have undergone training in nutrition for different life stages, hormone imbalances, gut issues, chronic illnesses, food intolerances, sensitivities and more. My ultimate goal is to empower you to take control of your health journey so you can lead the way after our program is over.
  • Do you incorporate fitness & movement into your programs?
    Absolutely! If incorporating movement into your routine is one of your goals, I can connect you with fitness professionals for personal and/or group training. I collaborate with a trusted network of certified trainers around the city skilled in resistance training, pilates, yoga, barre, boxing, pickleball, squash and ELDOA. Together, we create dynamic, evolving programs tailored to you. Whether you want to tone up, destress, reduce stubborn belly fat, enhance mobility, or prioritize injury prevention and age-related health concerns, we combine these techniques with a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan to maximize your results. As a Health Coach Mama member, you’ll also enjoy exclusive discounts on these services at Club Atwater. For virtual members, other options are available as well. I am always open to collaboration.
  • What are "Thrive Tribe" client perks?

  • Do you only coach women?
    Yes. My studies and practice are centered around the unique anatomy and hormonal stages of adulthood that women experience. Women often navigate various cycles and changes in their bodies, which can significantly impact their health and well-being. Because the relationship between coach and client is personal, I strive to understand my clients’ experiences as we navigate these life stages together. There is so much we can do now to prevent chronic illnesses and imbalances in the future, and my goal is to empower my Thrive Tribe community with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive at every stage of their life.
  • What if I can’t address all your concerns?
    During our initial 40-minute free health history consultation, we’ll discuss your needs in detail to determine if we’re a good fit. If I feel that I cannot adequately support you, I will inform you at the end of the session and provide referrals as needed. Healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. If you are dealing with issues beyond the scope of health coaching, I can connect you with my network of trusted practitioners with whom I regularly collaborate with. Together, we can create a follow-up plan that best suits your needs.
  • Do you offer group workshops or events?

  • Where are you located?
    I'm certified to provide online consultations to clients worldwide. For those in Montréal, I also provide in-person appointments at Club Atwater. I split my time between Montréal and Naples, Florida, so Naples clients can meet with me both in-person and virtually.
